Information collected
When you contact JR Electrical by form, phone, email or WhatsApp, you may provide your name, phone number, email address, postcode or area, details about the electrical work, your preferred contact time and photos you choose to send.
The website may also process basic technical information needed for security and reliable operation, such as an IP address and submission time.
How your information is used
Your information is used to respond to your enquiry, discuss and arrange requested work, maintain necessary business records and protect the website from spam or misuse.
The legal basis will normally be taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, meeting legal obligations, or JR Electrical’s legitimate interest in responding to genuine enquiries and running the business.
WhatsApp and Google Maps
If you contact JR Electrical through WhatsApp, your information is also handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy terms. You can use phone, email or the enquiry form instead.
If you accept Google Maps through the cookie banner, the Areas Covered page loads an embedded map automatically. Google may then receive technical information such as your IP address and may set cookies. The map remains blocked if you decline. See the cookie policy for more information.
Retention and your rights
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage work, maintain required records or resolve a dispute. Legal and financial records may need to be retained for longer periods.
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to, correction of, deletion of or restriction on the use of your personal information. You may also have the right to object or request a portable copy.
To make a request, email jrelectrical@proton.me. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Security and policy changes
Reasonable measures are used to protect information submitted through the website. No online service can guarantee complete security, so please do not send sensitive information through the enquiry form.
This policy may be updated if the website or the way JR Electrical handles information changes. The latest version will appear on this page.
